One day, a very exiting job turned up in the Danish Ministry of Education that Ilse Jensen really wanted. It was a position in the so-called eSupervision where people can get personal advice about education and employment with the help of a whole range of communication and guidance tools, including phone, chat, text messaging and e-mail.

“I know from experience how phenomenal the Dialoogle cards are at pinpointing people’s dreams and goals, strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, I decided to give myself a task: To find three cards that described what the Ministry of Education would get if they hired me,” Ilse Jensen explains.

Ilse chose a picture of a girl holding her hand in front of her mouth laughing. “Simply put, she is the symbol of my energy, my good mood and my social abilities.”

Next, she chose a runner: “I chose the runner because I am a runner myself and because I am enduring and do not give up easily.”

And finally, Ilse chose a wall with colourful graffiti: “It illustrates that I often come up with alternative solutions and that I am interested in art and all things quirky.”

Ilse brought the cards with her to the job interview in the Ministry, and during the short interview, she held on to the three characteristics symbolized by the picture cards.
The cards helped me to focus on what I could contribute to the job with my strengths and qualities. They also gave me the possibility to show that I work with unconventional tools. When the interview was over, I gave the three cards to the employer.”

It made an impression on the manager of eSupervion that Ilse had brought her picture cards along. The cards helped the manager remember Ilse as an applicant who had really reflected on what she could contribute to the job and knew what she wanted to convey.

In the end, Ilse got her dream job.
