Why learn a foreign language?
This exercise can help create motivation for learning a foreign language.
- Lay the Dialoogle picture cards in front of the group.
- Ask all participants to choose a picture card each illustrating the benefits of speaking and learning a foreign language.
- Ask the participants to pair up.
- First, one of the participants tries to guess the reasons behind their partner’s choice of picture card. Next, this participant explains their reasons for choosing that particular card. Afterwards, the two participants switch roles.
You can let the students converse about certain subjects, e.g. their favourite holiday.
