Getting to know each other in a new team

Use Dialoogle picture cards to represent strengths and personal qualities and get to know the other members of the team in a new and different way.

  1. Lay out the Dialoogle picture cards on the table.
  2. Ask all team members to choose between three and six picture cards that represent their individual strengths and qualities.
  3. Ask each member to narrow down their selection to three cards. The three remaining cards should represent their greatest strengths.
  4. The participants take turns presenting themselves to the rest of the team using the three selected picture cards.
  5. When all participants have presented themselves, the team can evaluate whether there are any overlaps in the represented strengths and whether any qualities are unique to the team. Remember that all strengths are useful and beneficial to the team.
  6. Discuss how the team can make the most of the strengths of its members.
  7. Place the selected picture cards so that all cards are visible.
  8. Display the chosen cards in the room and use them as an alternative way of presenting the team to others.

This exercise can also be used with groups that have been working together for a long time.
