Collaborative storytelling – a great icebreaker

This exercise will break the ice, get the imagination going and create a relaxed atmosphere in a group of new people.

  1. Spread out the Dialoogle picture cards facing downwards in front of the participants.
  2. Ask one of the participants to flip a card and start telling a story inspired by the picture.
  3. When someone else wants to contribute, they flip a new picture card and continue the story.

It is a good idea to keep an up-beat pace during the exercise so the collaborative storytelling has a good flow.

Innovation is discovering, developing and applying new ideas in known workflows and processes. Give innovation a boost with images.

90% of the brain’s sensory input comes from visual sources. Images start thought tracks in the brain. If they cross each other in new combinations, new ideas emerge.

Creativity unfolds when we use imagery and try to combine different and seemingly independent motifs with each other.
