The Compass

Step by Step

  1. Place all the Dialoogle picture cards in front of the focus person.
  2. The focus person picks four cards. One which describes his purpose with the conversation, one which describes the problem at hand, one which describes the positive experiences he can draw upon and one which symbolises his doubts.
  3. Place a card for each corner of the world, thus creating a sort of compass. Hereafter, the cards are used as points of reference when asking questions:
  4. »When you see these four pictures, which picture takes up the most space in your c-onsciousness?«
  5. »Which picture makes you believe the most, that you will reach your goal?«
  6. »Which picture is not represented but could be part of the solution? You may choose one more card and place it within the compass wherever you see fit«.
  7. The coaching continues according to standard coaching principles. The cards are used to enhance the focus person’s inner picture and awareness of how the challenge at hand can be managed.
