Filadelfia, School for children

Søren Thinghuus, teacher
Language teaching for children with attention dificit problems

At the Filadelfia School, we work mainly with children with attention deficit problems (ADHD) and epilepsy. In this problem area, the Dialoogle cards are extremely efficient in helping the children concentrate and focus.

Teaching English, I have used the cards to have my pupils use as many English terms as they are able to in describing three different cards. This exercise can easily be done on different levels (beginners mention colours, simple things or count, while more skilled pupils produce whole sentences).

Teaching Danish, I use the cards as an introduction to story telling or essays (my pupils use the pictures as a starting point for their individual stories).

In both cases, the picture cards are extremely motivating, inspiring fantasy and conversation.

That's how we dialoogle!
